Conference Information and FAQs
- When is the PSLA conference?
- It takes place March 30 - April 1, 2023 at the Hilton Harrisburg
- How much is the 2023 conference?
- Will any of the conference be offered virtually?
- The conference will be in person , however, we will be offering recorded sessions on the Whova app for 90 days after the conference is over.
- What is/is not included in the virtual registration?
- If you select the virtual option , it is the discretion of the presenter if they wish to provide a "live" streaming option or a recorded option.
- You will have access to any of these live or recorded sessions.
- You will not have access to view the keynote presentations or any workshops/elements of the conference that did not choose to include a synchronous or recorded option.
- How do I access the conference?
- Close to the opening of the conference, you will receive an email from Whova with a link to the web version of the conference which can be accessed on a computer. You will also receive instructions to access the conference using the Whova app.
- How can I tell which sessions will be have recordings available?
- Look for the light purple track that says "Recording Available" in the workshop description. All presenters who agreed to provide a recording are asked to upload it within 24 hours of the presentation.
- How can I tell which sessions will include Zoom/Team/Google Meet during the session?
- It is up to the presenter if he or she would like to offer a synchronous meeting during the workshop. If a link is provided, you will see a "Live Stream" icon under the workshop title.
- What technology or websites will I need to participate in the conference?
- You will need the Whova mobile app, and the ability to access whova.com.
- How do I register for the conference?
- Early bird registration will open in January.
- How long will the virtual portions of the conference be available for me to view?
- The conference will be available in Whova for 90 days after April 1, 2023 and Whova will remind you that your window of time is closing.
- Can I receive PA Act 48 credit for attending any recordings of the conference?
- Absolutely. Be sure to fill out the Act 48 form at the end of the conference and to have your PPID ready. Act 48 is due July 1, 2023.
- Can I receive more Act 48 credit for each session if I watch them after the conference is over?
- You may receive multiple hours for completing multiple concurrent workshops per session, and as long as you fill out the Act 48 form. Act 48 is due July 1, 2023.
- I am interested in presenting a concurrent session workshop, where can I see information about this process?
- Proposals are now closed
- All primary presenters will receive $50 off of their full registration or $10 off a daily rate.
- Any presenters that agree to pre-record and upload their session to Whova will be given the partial rate instead of $50 off.
- Can I volunteer to help?
- Absolutely! We are in need of moderators to read scripted instructions at the beginning of each concurrent session .
- Is there a schedule of events?
- Yes, it will be posted on the weebly website once the concurrent sessions have been confirmed.
- Do I need to sign up for pre-conference in advance?
- Yes, you will have the ability to sign up for pre-conference when you register.
- Do I need to sign up for sessions?
- No, however, you may have to choose a different session based on the capacity of the room. Please remain in the session for its entirety if you wish to receive Act 48 Credit.
- May I leave feedback for the presenters?
- Yes, session feedback is available in each concurrent session and will be part of the Act 48 reporting form.
- Are there exhibitors? What does that look like?
- Yes, exhibitors who are in the vendor hall will also have the ability to exhibit virtually in the Whova app.
- Are there any contest, games, or giveaways in the exhibit hall?
- Absolutely!
- Will there be a poster session?
- Not this year
